The British Museum played host for the Homes & Gardens Designer Awards 2013. The awards celebrate Britain’s best design talent with 12 categories ranging from bathroom designer to retailer of the year. David was awarded the Young Designer award for the M Lamp (designed for Juniper) and the EXTL lights (designed for Deadgood). Heres what the judges had to say;

The extruded lights (‘EXTL’ for short), are a pair of small multi-faceted pendant lights produced in aluminium and finished with either a matt black, gold or silver anodised lustre.

Both lights are manufactured out of a single length of three millimetre thick aluminium, dissected at varying angles allowing for two styles to be produced from one section of extruded material. Each light consists of five identical profiles which are bound together with a black silicon band. This highly engineered solution effectively demonstrates both the efficiency and the precision of this time honoured industrial process. Available from Deadgood in two sizes.
